Morrison England, Jr. capped his 2 year varsity football career at McClatchy High School by being voted all-Metro League in 1970 and playing in the 1971 Optimist All-Star Game. He also received recognition as a National Merit Scholarship commended student.  With his mom a counselor at the college, Sac City was the logical JC for Morrison to attend, and he became an offensive tackle for the Panthers in 1971 and in 1973. At the conclusion of his sophomore season, he earned all-Valley Conference and all-state honors.  He was also awarded the Sacramento Hall of Fame outstanding athlete award in the community college division.

He was rewarded with a football scholarship to UOP where he started on the offensive line, earned all PCAA honors both seasons, and was named the outstanding lineman as a senior. He played the most minutes and was recognized as the offensive player of the week and for the best hit of the week during his UOP career. After signing a free agent contract with the New York Jets, Morrison became a coach at Cal State Fullerton and the offensive line coach at Sac State (while attending McGeorge School of Law). He passed the bar in 1983 and eventually became a partner with Quattrin, Johnson, Campora & England. In 1996 his appointment to the Sacramento Municipal Court began his career as a judge, which culminated with his service as the Chief Judge of the Eastern District of California from 2012 to 2016. Judge England has earned numerous Judge of the Year awards and he has served on boards and committees and has represented the United States as part of a judicial exchange with 8 countries. Judge England was also an army reserve officer from 1988 to 2002.
