Austin is entering his second season as an assistant coach for the Panthers. Austin’s role includes coaching the catchers and assisting with the hitters. Austin played for the Panthers in 2014 and 2015. After his time at Sac City, he received a scholarship to play at California State University, Monterey Bay. Austin spent two seasons playing for the Otters before returning to coach at Sac City. 

Austin received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business from California State University, Monterey Bay and is currently working towards his Master’s Degree from the United States Sports Academy.

Outside of Sac City, Austin is the Director of Baseball Operations at Downtown Baseball, a development-based baseball academy in Sacramento.
