Panthers beat Sierra 21-20 in Overtime in the Centennial football game at Hughes Stadium

The Panthers (4-2 / Conf. 1-0) protected their home field advantage ending SCC centennial celebration day with a 21-20 overtime victory against the Sierra Wolverines (1-5 /Conf. O-1). The win also marked SCC first National Norcal conference win this year. The Panthers overcame 3 turnovers on the night but out gained Sierra 355 yards to 238 yards in total offense. 

 

Sac City fans were rewarded a with great performance from So RB (#2) Tyree Hanson who rushed the ball 39 times for 213 yards with three rushing touchdowns. So DL (#99) Josh Johnson led the team with 10 tackles (3 solo).  Fr LB (#32) Deon Drake had 8 tackles (5 solo) with 1 sack. So DL DB (#27) Hayden Thornton finished with 7 tackles (6 assisted). 

 

The SCC Panthers will matchup with the American River Beavers on the road next Saturday at 6 PM.
