
Tony Costello Tip Off Classic at Las Positas College Nov. 5-7th
The Sacramento City College Panthers started off the season with 2 wins against Siskiyous and Las Positas College at the Tony Costello Tip Off Classic.
Siskiyous Game-The Panthers were led by freshman guard (#5) David King who had 16 points and sophomore forward (#55) Brandon Rowden who put in 15 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. Sophomore forward (#23) Vic Rustin finished with 14 points and 5 rebounds. The Panthers shot 48% from the field (31-64). Sac City won 84-81.
Las Positas Game-The Panthers were led by sophomore forward (#55) Brandon Rowden 23 points with 7 rebounds and sophomore forward (#22) Arnie Vargas 10 points with 7 rebounds and freshman guard (#5) David King 11 points 3 steals and 3 assists. Sac City won 76-74.
Butte Game- The (2-1) Panthers faced off against the 10th ranked Butte College Roadrunners and lost 79-68. Sophomore forward (#23) Vic Rustin finished with 16 points with 7 rebounds and 3 steals. Sophomore Brandon Rowden (#55) had poor shooting night but finished with 10 points and 4 rebounds and freshman guard Brett Lynch scored 10 points for the Panthers. Sac City shot 35% (24-69) from the field on the night.

The (2-1) Sacramento City College Men's Basketball team next game will be against Solano on November 13th 7 PM at the Solano College Tournament in Suisun City CA.
