The SCC Men's Basketball team strong finish in conference play earned the team a spot in the state playoffs as the NorCal 18th seed. The Panthers will play the NorCal 15th seed Foothill Owls (12-14) Wed. Feb. 24th at 7 PM. Sac City will follow the lead of their So F (#55) Brandon Rowden who was the 7th leading scorer in the Big 8 with 14.9 PPG.

The regional seedings were released Monday afternoon determining matchups for the 2016 basketball regional championship tournaments. Round 1 of play begins on Wednesday, February 24. The Mt. San Antonio College (29-1) and City College of San Francisco women (25-3) earned the top seeds in their respective regions. They'll await the winners of Wednesday's games to determine their matchup.
Games are to be played at 7pm throughout the regional tournaments except in the case of a men's & women's doubleheader. Postconference play will take place on the following dates
Round 1 - Wednesday, February 24
Round 2 - Friday/Saturday, February 26/27
Round 3 - Wednesday, March 2
Round 4 - Saturday, March 5
State Championships - Friday-Sunday, March 11-13
