The Men's Cross Country team opened the 2017 season on Friday, September 1st at the Sierra Invitational in Rocklin. The Panthers did not meet the minimum number of individual runners to qualify for the team scores. Team points are calculated by taking the top 5 individual racers for each school – teams with less than 5 runners finishing (as the Panthers did at this meet) do not qualify for a team score or placement in the meet.
City had two runners compete at the meet, Noah Spickemier and Jonathan Joe. Noah Spickemier finished in 18th place overall with a time of 27:14.3 and Jonathan Joe finished in 22nd place at 29:43.3
The Panthers next meet is Friday, September 15th at the Nor-Cal Preview at San Joaquin Delta College at 3pm.
