The Men's Cross Country team was back in action on Friday, September 15th at the Big 8 Preview at Oak Grove Regional Park in Stockton. The Panthers did not meet the minimum number of individual runners to qualify for the team scores. Team points are calculated by taking the top 5 individual racers for each school – teams with less than 5 runners finishing (as the Panthers did at this meet) do not qualify for a team score or placement in the meet.
City had two runners compete at the meet, Noah Spickemier and Jonathan Joe. And they finished back-to-back in 32nd and 33rd place overall. Noah Spickemier crossed the line 5 seconds before his teammate at 24:30.6, while Jonathan Joe finished at 24:35.5.
The Panthers next meet is Friday, September 29th at the MJC Invite at Legion Park in Modesto.
