Game 1 Sac City defeated Modesto 6-0 in Game 1 with Fr P (#26) Kali Sargent picking up another win by shut out allowing only 1 hit with 7 strikeout,while also getting two hits at the plate on the day. So 2B (#4) Madison Butcoff had 2 hits, 2 RBI and scored a run. So LF (#15) Morgan Welch had 2 hits and scored 2 runs as well for the Panthers in the victory.
Game 2 Sac City beat Modesto 18-0 with a shutout by So P (#16) Jostyn Bebout allowing 4 hits on the day. The Panthers had a huge 7th inning scoring 12 runs to close out the game. Fr SS (#6) Katie Lopez had 4 hits, scored 4 runs with 5 RBI. So 2B (#4) Madison Butcoff had 3 hits, scored 4 runs and 1 RBI. Fr (#26) Kali Sargent serving as a (DP) had 3 hits with 2 RBI and 1 run scored. Fr RF (#23) Jade Chapan had 1 hit with 3 runs scored and an RBI. So CF (#1) Cheyenna Newman had 1 hit and scored 2 runs in the game. So 1B (#21) Megan Anthony had 2 hits with an RBI and scored one run.
The Panthers moved to 5-0 in the Big 8 and now have a 17-4-1 overall record. Sac City will be on road this week with games at Cosumnes River Tuesday March 22nd at 3 PM and Saturday March 26 with a Doubleheader at Sierra with a start times of 12 PM & 2 PM.
