Julie Pederson is a 1991 graduate of Cordova High School where she was a four- year varsity player. During high school she played for the Blue Darters travel softball program.

Coach Pederson played for Sacramento City College in 1992 and 1993 where she played catcher and first base. While both of these teams were conference champions and participated in the state tournament, the 1992 team won the State Championship and was considered the National Champions.

In 1994, she earned an athletic scholarship to Florida Southern College, in Lakeland FL, where she played for NFCA Hall of Fame Coach Chris Bellotto. During the two seasons she played for the Lady Moccasins, both teams participated in post season play. In 1995, she was a second team Sunshine State Conference selection as a catcher. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminology in 1995.

In 2009, she began her coaching career as an assistant coach for the Junior Varsity softball team at St. Francis High School in Sacramento. Following that season, she moved to the Varsity level, where she has coached for the past three years. Since 2009, Pederson has also been an assistant coach for the California Rapids travel softball team where she coached at the 16U and 18U level.

Coach Pederson and her husband, Michael Rogers, reside in the Sacramento area.  

Julie started coaching at Sacramento City College in the Fall of 2012.
