Panthers aren't up to par in season opener

The Panthers hosted Butte College on Tuesday, August 30^th at Bartley Cavanaugh Golf Course to officially open up the 2016 season…their pre-season tournament hosted by Modesto the week prior was just a scrimmage.

The Roadrunners shot a 333, while the Panthers finished the day at 350 and were pinned with the loss.

Sac City was led by the Hoag sisters, Ciera shot an 82 and Hunter finished 1 stroke behind with an 83. The two Panther sophomores, Megan Sturgeon and Katie Haase, finished next with a 91 and 94 respectively. Rounding out the field for the Panthers were May Novang (96) and Hannah Reynoso (105). The team score (350) is calculated by taking the 4 lowest individual scores from each team.

Next up for the Panthers is the first Big 8 Tournament of the season on Thursday, September 1^st at Tracy Country Club (hosted by Modesto).
