The Panthers traveled to the Tracy Country Club on Thursday for the first Big 8 Conference Tournament of the year; hosted by Modesto Junior College.

Sophomore, Megan Sturgeon finished the day with 89 on her scorecard to lead all Panthers.  She was followed by Ciera and Hunter Hoag, both of whom finished at 92 for the day.  Katie Haase shot a 94 and Hannah Reynoso finished with a 104.

The defending Big 8 Conference Champion Sierra Wolverines picked up where they left off shooting a 335.  Modesto finished 2nd with a 343 followed by 3rd place Butte at 361.  The Panthers shot a 367 to finish 4th and were followed by San Joaquin Delta (371), Napa Valley (408) and American River (432).  Mendocino did not finish (DNF), meaning they did not have 4 individual golfers finish the tournament and therefore had no team score.

Sac City is back in action next week on Thursday, September 8th as they travel to Rocklin's Whitney Oaks Golf Course for the Big 8 Tournament #2 hosted by Sierra College.
