Arianna Gonzalez leads the Panthers with two goals as they get the 4-1 victory over Napa Valley

The Panthers returned home to host Napa Valley College on Tuesday evening at Hughes Stadium.  City wasted no time going on the offensive as they scored 3 minutes into the game.  Jacqueline Santana played a ball through on an assist to Arianna Gonzalez, who beat a defender and saw her shot to the bottom right of the goal find the net as the Panthers led 1-0.  The Storm answered with a game tying goal at the 7 minute mark, but again City took to the attack as Savannah Potter scored an unassisted goal 3 minutes later at the 10 minute mark of the 1st half to put the Panthers up for good.  The team's defense would then settle in for the remainder of the half as the score stayed 2-1 Sac City.

In the 2nd half, the Panthers defense delivered a shutout and the offense added two more goals as they rolled to a 4-1 win over the visiting Storm.  Scoring for the Panthers were Jessica Camacho (unassisted) in the 54th minute and Arianna Gonzalez (unassisted), who started the scoring and finished the scoring with her goal in the 73rd minute.

The Panthers take to the road again on Friday as they travel to San Luis Obispo to play Cuesta College at 3:30pm in their final preseason game before competing in the Big 8 Conference.
