Jang-Ha Oh has been a professor in the Kinesiology, Health, and Athletics Division since January, 2002, and is entering his 15th season as SCC's head women’s soccer coach. Coach Oh came to SCC from Houston, TX where he was the head coach of club teams and taught classes at the University of Houston, TX and the College of the Mainland, Texas City, TX for over eight years.  He studied doctoral courses in Exercise Epidemiology at the University of Houston. Oh coached at Elk Grove United Club, a competitive U18 girls team, based out of Elk Grove, CA in 2004, and he was the head coach of the Olympic Development Program (ODP) U14, 15, and 16 Girl’s teams from 2005-2007 and 2011-2012 and served as the State ODP evaluator for three years. He also coached U16 girls in 2009 and U17 girls in 2010 for the El Dorado United Club. Currently, Oh has been serving as the USSF coaching license instructor since 2013.

Oh has had an USSF referee license, Grade 7, since 2002 and referees for high school matches and club games on weekends. He also holds the United States of Soccer Federation (USSF) National “C” license, National Diploma and Goalkeeping license from National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA), and a California Youth Soccer license.

A native of Cheju, Korea, Oh and his wife, Jung, reside in El Dorado Hills, CA.
