The Panthers got off to a 1 set lead 25-20 and then service errors and passing errors allowed the scrappy effort by the DVC Vikings to rally in the second 21-25 tying the match at 1-1. Sac City then poured it on with improved defense allowing them to relentlessly attack DVC. SCC won the final two sets 25-13 and 25-15 closing out the match 3-1 (25-20,21-25,25-13, 25-15).

 

Sac City had strong performances from So OH (#10) Keeley Franz who had 20 digs with 16 kills and 48 total attacks. So OH (#4) Sam Kepler had 16 kills with 5 digs and 39 total attacks. So S  (#5) Kassidy Rauh led the team with 47 assists with 12 digs and 4 kills. Fr MH (#9) Jalyn Jones help anchor the defense with 4 blocks with 7 kills and So LB (#3) Halee Parnell led the team with 23 digs.

 

Sac City is now 10-1 in the Big 8 and 18-1 this season overall. The Panthers next play at Cosumnes River Friday at 6:30 PM.
