City opens up their 2017 season this Wednesday at the City College of San Francisco Classic

The Panthers open up their 2017 season on August 30th at the CCSF Classic against the host Rams at 3pm and then against Reedley at 5pm.

2016 Finishes:

Sac City was the Big 8 Conference Runner-Ups last season with an overall record of 22 wins and 4 losses and made it to the 2nd round of the Nor-Cal Regional Playoffs.  The Rams finished the 2016 season in 2nd place in the Coast North Conference with an overall record of 22 wins and 4 losses and also made it to round 2 of the Playoffs.  Reedley finished 6th in the Central Valley Conference with an overall record of 6 wins and 15 losses.  The Panthers did not face either of these teams last season.

2017 Roster:

The Panthers have just 3 returning players from last year's team; Sophomores Emilie Grant, Alexis Tomlinson, and Bryce Ellman.  There only other sophomore on the roster is Kailee Orsi a transfer from Mendocino College.  SCC will look for several of their 7 freshman to step up and be instant contributors if the Panthers want to remain near the top of the very competitive Big 8 Conference.

Home Opener:

The Panthers will host the SCC Quad Tournament this Friday, September 1st.  City will play at 12 noon and 4pm against Feather River and Butte.
