Panthers Cross Country: Season in Review

Panthers Cross Country: Season in Review
Sacramento City College Women's Cross Country team had some very outstanding performers throughout their 2017 season.  As a team, they successfully defended (back-to-back) their Big 8 Conference Championship!  They were led by Jasmine Loyola and Alyssa Ayala who were 1st Team All-Big 8 Conference performers...and Perla Gonzalez-Rodriguez and Daryia Greene who were 2nd Team All-Big 8 Conference.

Throughout the season they were virtually unstoppable and continued to improve as a team and indivisually.  On September 29th, 5 of the Panthers runners finished in the top 10 at the MJC Invitational as the team took 1st Place at the meet.  In the Nor-Cal Championship, they didn't finish at the top as they wanted, but placed a respectable 4th place out of 12 other community colleges.  During the course of the season, they also had back-to-back meets where the team finished in 3rd place on September 1st and 15th.  Jasmine Loyola and Perla Gonzalez-Rodriguez finished in the top 10 in both of those meets.

The Sac City Women's Cross Country team had a very solid season with some excellent and gritty performances from many of their student-athletes and they hope to see another successful season in 2018!
