The Sac City Panthers got off to quick start leading 30-14 at the end of 1st quarter and led 39-31 at halftime. The Panthers were outscored 21-14 in the 3rd quarter. Sac City closed out the game in the 4 quarter 19-13 securing their 2016 playoff debut 72-65. This was second time this season Sac City defeated the defending state champions.

Sac City was led by So G (#12) Jasmine Bernardo 21 points who shot 7-10 from the 3 point line.  So F Aleea Resse scored 19 points hitting 3 of 4 of her 3 points shots while grabbing 10 rebounds.  Sophomore F (#21) Kristen Gooding scored 17 points and had 5 rebounds. Rs-Fr G (#11) Jessica Lauderdale scored 8 points dished out a team-high 12 assists and pulled down 7 rebounds as well.

The No. 5 Panthers (22-8) will play at No. 4 DVC for Round 3 of the Regional Playoffs this Wedensday March 3rd at 7 PM. The Panthers won their last matchup at Sac City February 11th 67-58.
