The Panthers go 4-0 at the Lassen Duals on Saturday in Susanville

Sacramento City College traveled to Susanville for a multi-dual meet at Lassen College.

The first match of the day was a matchup against Lassen College and step 2 to the Big 8 Conference Championship.  The Panthers won the first seven matches against Lassen to take a commanding 32 to zero lead and went on to win 32 to 12.

The next match was Umpqua College out of Oregon. They are a National Junior College Athletic Association program. They split the first 4 matches 2 and 2 then finished the match with six straight wins for a 38- 6 win.

In the third match of the day Sacramento City College met up with me Warner Pacific University of the NAIA. The Panthers got off to a quick start winning 8 of 10 matches and winning 40-12.

In the final match of the day the Panthers met Grays Harbor College of Washington. SCC lost the first match and then ran off nine straight wins to defeat Grays Harbor 52 to 2.

Sacramento is now 11-2 on the season and 2-0 in the Big 8 Conference. Abel Garcia led the team with 4 wins including 2 falls. Ryan Harlow, Michael Mello, Manuel Curry, Jordan Denny and Steven Abbott all had 3 wins. Ryun Ortiz, Brian Galeno, Marques Evans, Conrad Trevino, Isaac Bertolotto, Brian Horn and Eddie Zamora had 2 wins each. Andrew Garcia and Bronson Harmon won a match as well. Great day and fantastic job by the team. SCC is now 11-2 on the season and 2-0 in the BIG 8 Conference.
