Danielle Reyes helped lead the Panther softball team to a Big 8 Conference Co-Championship with San Joaquin Delta (City won 2 of the 3 games) and a number 4 seed in the Nor-Cal Regional Playoffs. This past weekend her Panthers swept #13 Shasta as Reyes pitched the series clinching game, allowing just 4 hits and 1 run, as City advanced to this weekend's Nor-Cal Regional Round 2 playoff series.
During the season, Reyes threw 6 shutouts and a no-hitter in her 12 complete games. She is averaging 7.75 strikeouts per 7 innings and currently has 138 strikeouts, both of which are 9th best in the state. She had 3 games this season where she struck out 10 or more batters. Reyes was selected as a 1st Team All-Big 8 Conference pitcher and an All-Nor-Cal selection as a pitcher. She is one of just 5 junior college transfers in the country to be accepted as an Engineering major at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo next season.
