The Panthers hosted their first home game and their second Big 8 matchup against the Modesto Pirates Friday night. City led the game 40-28 at the half. In the second half City continued attacking the Pirates with drives to the basket, free throw shooting and several three point shots makes. The Panthers held off a late rally in the second half by the Pirates and won 86-74.

The Panthers behind freshman guard Gabe Serna's 26 points earned their first conference win this season. Soph forwards Michael Wadsworth and KJ Duronslet added 15 and 12 points each as well. 

City (9-7 / Big 8 1-1) host the Cosumnes River Hawks (10-7 / Big 8 1-1) Tuesday Jan. 10th in North Gym at 5:30 PM. Come out and show your "Panther Pride".
