Sac City wins the opening match of the Foothill Classic over Taft 3-1

City opened up against Taft at the Foothill Classic on Wednesday afternoon.  The Panthers won a tight first game 25-23 and put a little distance between them and the Cougars winning game two 25-20.  Taft bounced back to win game three 25-14 and the Panthers returned the favor in game 4 by the same 25-14 core to win the match 3-1.  It was SCC's first win of the season as they are now 1-4 overall.

Gianna Bell had a huge game at the net with 28 kills…she also had 12 digs.  Alexis Tomlinson also had 12 digs to go with her 11 assists.  Monica Ramirez set the table all night for the Panthers front line as she had a season high 34 assists.  Cylee Dulude had 10 kills and 2 aces and Brittany Honeycutt had 8 kills and 5 blocks.  Kailee Orsi had 20 digs in the win, while Bryce Ellman had 11 digs.

City doesn't have much time to enjoy the win as they are right back to it against the host Foothill Owls before heading home.
