Sac City welcomed in De Anza and Shasta for the Panther Classic II in the North Gym on Wednesday afternoon. City opened up with the De Anza Dons at 1pm and wrapped up the Classic at 5pm against the Shasta Knights.
The Panthers started slow and couldn't string any rallies together earlier as they fell behind 2-0. In the 3rd game the Panthers put up a fight, but ultimately lost the game 26-24 and the match 3-0 as they were never able to get over the hump.
The Panthers will look to keep fighting and start with a greater sense of urgency when they take on the Knights later this afternoon.
