An All-League Selection in football, basketball and baseball at Cordova High School; Larry Wolfe was named Prep of the Week and an All-City team member for all three sports. He received a total of 7 varsity letters, 1 his sophomore year and 3 each his junior and senior years. He would receive over 100 full-ride scholarship offers to 4-year colleges and universities and was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers. In baseball he led the area in hitting and was named the Best Hitter in the Sacramento region. Larry chose to pursue his career in baseball and thus attended Sac City College after high school. He would go on to play in the Major Leagues with the Minnesota Twins and Boston Red Sox from 1977 to 1980, and then played one year of professional baseball in Japan. Wolfe is a member of the Cordova High School baseball Hall of Fame. He is retired and living with his wife Stephanie.
