Siskiyous Tournament Dec. 28th-Dec. 30th

Butte:

The Sacramento City Men's Basketball team opened the Siskiyous losing a close game against the 17th ranked Butte Roadrunners in overtime (90-83). The Panthers led at halftime (35-33) and Butte rallied in the second half to outscore Sac City (43-41) in the second half. The Sacramento City Panthers were led by sophomore F (#55) Brandon Rowden who finished with 23 points and 7 rebounds. Freshman G (#12) Bret Lynch scored 16 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and dished out 4 assists. Sophomore F (#22) Arnie Vargas scored 13 points and had 4 steals. Also sophomore G (#3) Devin Joseph scored 12 points and had 3 assists. The Panthers were outscored 23-11 from the free throw line.

Siskiyous:

Sacramento City in game 2 of the tournament put on a dominant performance against Siskiyous winning 83-53 in their second matchup of the season.  The team had several players score double figures. The Panthers were led by sophomore forward (#22) Arnie Vargas 14 points and 11 rebounds. Freshman G (#12) Bret Lynch scored 16 points and had 4 asssists. Freshman G (#10) Josh Lewis had 11 points and 6 rebounds. Freshman F (#20) Alex Tsverov scored 10 points witn 6 rebounds and sophomore F (#23) Vic Rustin scored 8 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Sophomore G Devin Joseph scored 8 points and dished out 4 assists. The Panthers shot the ball from the field hitting (35-73) 48% from the floor.
