#11 (12-4) SCC WOMEN'S BASKETBALL LOSE TO #14 (12-5) SIERRA 53-52 IN OVERTIME

The #11 (12-4/Big 8 0-1) Sacramento City College Women's Basketball team in their first conference game led 27-19 at halftime. The Panthers offense stalled in the third quarter and were outscored 12-6. In a very gritty game with cold shooting by both team the Sierra Wolverines got back in the game through their effort on the glass and outscored Sac City 24-16 in the second half.  Unfortunately, the Panthers had several frontcourt players sophomore G/F (#23)  Aleea Reese, sophomore F (#21) Kristen Gooding and sophomore F (#24) Katelynn Mitchell (7 rebounds) that fouled out of the game.  The Panthers led late in overtime as well with big shots made by sophomore PG (#0) Corina Tacardon and redshirt freshman G (#11) Jessica Lauderdale before losing to #14 Sierra College (12-5/Big 8 1-0) in overtime (53-52). Sierra held a 58-25 advantage in rebounds for the game over Sacramento City.

The Panthers were led by redshirt-freshman G (#11) Jessica Lauderdale who scored 18 points grabbed 6 rebounds and dished out 6 assists with 4 steals.
