The Sacramento City College Women's Basketball team (16-5 / Conf. 4-2) got off to a slow start and trailed (35-14) at halftime. The Panthers rallied in the second half outscoring the BearCubs (35-29) but were unable to overcome their subpar shooting (16-75) 21% FG on the night and lost (64-49).

The Panthers were led by Rs-Fr G (#11) Jessica Lauderdale who finished with 16 points and 6 rebounds. So G (#12) Jasmine Bernardo had 14 points and 4 rebounds. So G (#0) scored 6 points  had 3 rebounds with 2 assists. So F (#21) Kristen Gooding scored 6 points and grabbed 6 rebounds.

The Panthers return to action next against the American River Beavers (13-5 / Conf. 3-2 ) on the road. Sac City is currently in a 3 way tie for 2nd place in the conference with Santa Rosa and DVC. Also Sac City at the end of the week will face the Sierra Wolverines (15-6 / Conf. 4-1) for another Big 8 road matchup January 29, 2016 5:30 PM.
