Nico Chapman wins the 174lb individual championship at the Bill Musick Tourney

Sacramento City College traveled to Fresno, California for the Bill Musick Open tournament. Once again the Panthers placed in the top five in every weight they competed in. Although no team scores were kept, unofficial scores showed the Panthers beat top-ranked Cerritos and number 2 ranked Fresno in the tournament.

Leading the way was Nico Chapman at 174 pounds. He went undefeated in winning his division. Finishing second were Raymond Angeles at 133 pounds and Hunter Minton at 141 pounds. Finishing third were Jon Hernandez at 149 pounds and Kalan Hastey at 184 pounds. This was the highest place in for both these young men this year. Devon Silva finished in fourth place and 141 pounds. Taking 5th Place were Daniel Larman at 157 pounds, Paul Aurre at 165 pounds, Tavian Del Rosario at 174 pounds, and Jerrad Kirk at 285 pounds. The Panthers travel to Susanville on Wednesday for their final dual meet of the season in the Big 8 conference. They will take on Lassen College and both teams are 3-0 on the season. Whoever wins this match will be the 2016 Big 8 Champions.
