The Panthers win the Simpson Open on Saturday

Sacramento City College wrestled their last regular season meet at the North Cal Open in Anderson.  Although it was a small tournament SCC wrestled well and won the tournament with 85.5 points. Menlo was 2nd with 67 points. Here is a breakdown by weight. 125 - SCC had both finalists with Luis Hernandez defeating Joshua Vega by a,major decision. 133 - Ryun Ortiz went 2-2 to finish in 4th place 149 - Jon Hernandez lost a very tough final to Alex Anciete of  Lassen, 11-9. 157 - Keshawn Franklin battled to a 3rd place finish with a fall over Antonio Jauregui of Lassen. 165 - Two more Panthers were in the final. Paul Aurre defeated Randy Wyshinski by a 6-5 decision. 174 - Angelo Westmacott took 2nd in a 3 man round Robin. 197 - The Panthers bumped up 2 wrestlers and the faired well. Tavian Del Rosario took 2nd. Kalan Hastey finished 3rd. Both lost to Medina of Simpson. 285 - Issac Mendoza took 2nd in a 3 man round Robin.

SCC has a week of preparation before going to the North Region at Delta College on December 3rd.
