PACK the HOUSE this Friday, November 11th for Volleyball showdown

On Friday, November 11th, the Sac City Women's Volleyball team will honor those sophomores playing in their final regular season home game of the year.  The Panthers have 5 sophomores on the team this year…

#2 AJ Woo – Outside Hitter from St. Francis HS

#3 Halee Parnell – Libero from Monterey Trail HS

#4 Sam Kepler – Outside Hitter from Elk Grove HS

#5 Kassidy Rauh – Setter from John F. Kennedy HS

#10 Keeley Franz – Outside Hitter from El Dorado HS

This year's team is currently ranked #7 in the State and #3 in Northern California.  They are 21-1 overall and 13-1 atop the Big 8 Conference standings.  Friday's final regular season home match will have all of the normal pomp and circumstance associate with any "sophomore salute" in previous years, but this year's final home game brings another level of emotion and excitement to the "Panther Pavilion" (North Gym).

Sac City welcomes in local Big 8 Conference rival Sierra College for the festivities.  Sierra College is currently 17-5 overall and 11-2 in the Big 8 Conference (having lost their last two matches).  The Wolverines are currently ranked #10 in the State and #4 in Northern California.  The Panthers will look to avenge their only loss of the season, which came back on October 12 when the Wolverines snapped their 14 -game winning streak.

A win on Friday night would be a great way for the Panther sophomores to remember their final regular season home match as a SCC Panther and would clinch the 2016 Big 8 Conference Championship for City's volleyball team.

So come on out and support the Panthers as they look to win their 8th straight conference match on their way to a Conference Championship...

as they look for you to PACK the HOUSE and show your Panther Pride!
