The (9-6/Big 8 1-0) Sacramento City College Men's Basketball team won their first home and Big 8 conference game of the season (80-67). The Panthers utilized good ball movement talling 20 assists to only 8 turnovers to pull away in the second half of the game outscoring Sierra 50-37 in the second half.

The Panthers were led by sophomore F (#23) Vic Rustin who scored 18 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. Freshman G (#12) Brett Lynch scored 16 points, dished out 5 assists and grabbed 5 rebounds. Sophomore G (#3) Devin Joseph scored 11 points and led the team with 9 assists Sophomore F (#22) Arnie Vargas scored 11 points and grabbed 5 boards and sophomore F (#55) Brandon Rowden scored 11 points and had 5 rebounds.

The Panthers hit the road next in Big 8 action facing the (6-7/Big 8 0-1) Modesto Pirates Friday January 8th 7:30 PM seeking their first conference win this season.
