The (9-7/Big 8 1-1) Sacramento City College Men's Basketball team lost their first road Big 8 conference game of the season (69-57). The Panthers shot poorly from the floor hitting on 2 of 26 shots from the three point line and made only 33% on field goal attempts for the game. Sac City was able to outscore Modesto in the second half 34-26 after being outscored by 20 points in the first half. 

The Panthers were led by sophomore F (#22) Arnie Vargas who scored 18 points and grabbed 12 boards with 3 steals. Freshman G (#12) Brett Lynch scored 13 points grabbed 6 rebounds with 3 assists. Sophomore G (#3) Devin Joseph led the team with 10 assists.

The Panthers hit the road next in Big 8 action facing the No. 17 (6-7/Big 8 0-1) CRC Hawks Tuesday Jan. 12th at 7:30 PM.
