Coach Garske spent the previous 2 seasons at Diablo Valley College in the BIG-8 Conference which is the #1 power conference in Northern California for 3C2A. During the 2023-2024 season, Garske was responsible for the recruitment and development of #1 Ranked 3C2A State Leader in Assists & BIG-8 1st Team All-Conference Guard, Izzy De la Cruz & BIG-8 2nd Team All-Conference, Lexi Lipary. Diablo Valley College finished with a 15-14 overall record, 5-11 in BIG-8 Conference while receiving votes ranked as a top team in the Northern Region, and a playoff berth 3C2A NorCal Regional appearance.
Garske also has an extensive background operating local community basketball camps in Contra Costa County for children of all age groups.
