Soccer wins home opener 3-0 over De Anza on Friday evening

The Panthers hosted De Anza College on Friday evening at Hughes stadium in the 2017 season opener for both teams.  The Panthers would take a 1-0 lead on a late 1st half goal by Jacqueline Santana on a Taylor Crowley assist.  Midway through the 2nd half, the host Panthers would double up their lead on the Dons as Jessica Camacho found Savannah Potter who put it in the net to give SCC a 2-0 advantage.  Jasmaine Lubinsky scored another goal for City as time was winding down in the game on an assist by Marissa Amaro.

Goal Keeper, Fatima Sarmienta, delivered a shutout in the season opener by saving all 4 shots on goal as Sac City beat the Dons 3-0.  The Panthers will take to the road and their annual trip to So-Cal and the Sea Breeze Tournament in Oxnard September 2nd and 3rd.  City then returns home on Tuesday, September 5th to host the Napa Valley Storm at 6pm at Hughes Stadium.
