The Women's Cross Country team was back in action on Friday, September 15th at the Big 8 Preview at Oak Grove Regional Park in Stockton. The Panthers finished in 3rd place with a combined time of 1:46:475 and 51 total team points. Team points are calculated by taking the top 5 individual racers for each school – teams with less than 5 runners finishing will not qualify for a team score or placement in the meet.
Perla Gonzalez-Rodriguez led the charge with her 4th place finish, crossing the line at 20:29.3. Jasmine Loyola finished in 6th place just 10 seconds (20:39.2) behind her teammate. Alyssa Ayala was the next Panther to finish with a time of 20:47.9 and 10th place overall. Deja Johnson finished 20th at 22:12.1, while Daryia Greene crossed 23rd overall at 22:39.0 to complete the team scoring.
