The Sac City Panthers hit the road Wednesday with the intent to upset the higher seeded Foothill Owls in Round 1 of the NORCAL Regional Tournament. The Sac City defense was solid holding the Owls to 34% shooting and just 28% from the 3 point-line while also outrebounding Foothill 40-31. The Panthers offensively shot the 3 point shot at a superb 53% and had 6 different players make a 3 in the game. 

The Panthers defeated Foothill 79-61 and were led by Big 8 All-Conference F (#23) Vic Rustin 21 points & 12 rebounds 3 steals and 1 block. Fr G (#5) David King scored 15 points & dished out 5 assists with 2 steals. Big 8 All-Conference F (#55) Brandon Rowden finished with 12 points & 7 rebounds with 2 steals.  Fr G (#12) Brett Lynch had 10 points & 4 rebounds with 4 assists and So F (#22) Arnie Vargas finished with 9 points as well.

The No.18 Panthers (17-12) return to playoff regional action Saturday February 27th at 7 PM at No. 2 Feather River (27-1).
