Paxton is a unanimous All-Big 8 Conference 1st team selection

Sac City point guard Jake Paxton was a unanimous all-Big 8 selection for the 2021-22 season. The 6' sophomore averaged exactly 20 points per game, and led the Big 8, with an average of 23.2 in conference play, the third best mark in school history. He tied the school record for consecutive 30-point games with 3, scoring 101 points during that stretch to tie Greg Milton III ('18-'19) for the second highest 3-game scoring stretch in school history. Jake, who was also an academic all-conference selection, shot 47.9% overall, 39.0% from beyond the arc, and 77.9% from the line. In a 38-point effort on January 31, he shot 17/25 from the field (4/8 from three) to tie the school record for single game field goals.
