Panthers score a season high 16 goals in their win over Laney

Deborah Briggs led the Panthers with 4 goals in their 16-5 win over Laney in the Big 8 / Coast Conference Crossover Tournament on Friday.  Five other Panthers scored goals as well.  Danny Beckman and Kelsie Estep (3 assists) each had 3 goals, while Brea Ruvalcaba (3 assists) and Julia Ng (2 assists) each had 2 goals.  Megan Mierczynski and Cindy Ayala both added a goal of their own.  Geneva Speakman had 4 assists and Lilly Pilegaard had 2 of her own.

City led 3-2 after the 1st quarter and distanced themselves from the Eagles with 5 unanswered goals to lead 8-2 at the half.  Both teams scored 3 goals in the 3rd quarter, and again the Panthers ran off 5 unanswered goals to finish with a 16-5 win.
