Sac City Women's Wrestling made their intercollegiate debut this past weekend. The Panthers traveled to Atherton for the Menlo College Open - the premier Women's College wrestling tournament on the west coast. The Panthers were led by Paula Aguilar, who placed 2nd at 207 lbs, with pins over opponents from Arizona State and Delta College. Ashlee Gutierrez finished 2-2 at 131 lbs. Shelby Banovitz and Kaylyn Williams both finished 1-2 at 131 lbs - both with victories over opponents from Arizona State. The Panthers will be back in action Friday February 7th in a tri-meet with Menlo College and Simpson University followed by the 3rd annual Sac City Women's Open on Saturday, February 8th.
