The Big 8 Conference champion Panthers continued their winning ways on March 22nd, earning the program's first tournament team-title at the Santa Rosa Junior College Invitational. The Panthers amassed 61.0-points ahead of runner-up Skyline College (53.0-points) and four other teams. Leading the effort for Sac City were individual champions Shelby Banovitz (1st @ 124lbs, 1-1), Ashlee Gutierrez (1st @ 131lbs, 2-0), and Paula Aguilar (1st @ 207lbs, 3-0).

Other Panthers earning tournament medals on the day were Karissa McDaniel (2nd @ 103lbs, 1-1), Andrea Gonzalez (2nd @ 117lbs, 2-1), Amber Byrd (3rd @ 124lbs, 1-1), Kaylyn Williams (3rd @ 131lbs, 2-1), Zion Green (2nd @ 180lbs, 2-1), and Grace Mercado (3rd @ 207lbs, 1-2). The Panthers return to the mat on April 5th, when they travel to compete in the East Los Angeles College Invitational.
