Owens had a game high 27 points, but City comes up short against Sierra
On Tuesday, January 2nd, the Sierra Wolverines came to Sacramento City College and beat the Panthers 75–70 in a game that came down to the wire.  Troy Owens had another outstanding shooting performance, going 10 for 17 from the field and scoring a team-high 27 points, with 15 of those points coming in the first half.  The Panthers played outstanding defense by having 12 total steals, 2 blocks; as well as 42 rebounds as a team versus Sierra's 30 rebounds.
 
Despite the efforts by the Panthers, the Wolverines executed with eight different scoring options throughout the game.  In addition, the Wolverines used the three ball down the stretch to stay ahead of the Panthers.  

The Panthers loss would push their record to (9–7, 1-2) on the season and will travel to Santa Rosa this Thursday for a 7:30pm tip-off.
