The Panthers beat Diablo Valley 94-90 in an Overtime thriller
On Thursday, January 11th, the Panthers gave everything they had in a thrilling overtime victory over the Diablo Valley Vikings.  In the first half the Panthers hit 7 three pointers and were in a tightly contested game until Vikings forward Ben Wood started to take off - He had 17 points and gave the Vikings a 45–32 halftime lead.  For the Panthers however, it wasn't until the first few minutes in the second half when they started to pick up the pace.

Troy Owens who had a quiet first half finished very strong with 23 points (14pts in the second half).  Gabe Serna (19pts) with the game in doubt made a clutch three pointer with less than 20 seconds left to put them within one. After forcing the Vikings to the bonus the game seemed to be in jeopardy but Jhalen Lumpkins (17pts) had a put-back layup to tie it and force the game into overtime.

In overtime the Panthers picked up the momentum and ran with it to overcome the Vikings two leading scorers.  Michael Kirkland blocked Demarre Walker, who was having himself a night bruising the paint with 27 points, to seal the game for the Panthers.

The Panthers improved to 12–8 (4-3) on the season and will travel to face Folsom Lake College on Saturday, January 13th
