The Sacramento City College Women's basketball team overcame a subpar shooting night from the floor (17-49) 35% and 23 % from the three-point line with extra effort play and excellent free throw shooting going (20-22) 91% to earn its first win against Delta College in Big 8 conference game ever (59-51 )!

So F (#21) Kristen Gooding layup scored on her third attempt displayed a toughness this team has shown all season. The Panthers were led by So G/ F (#23) Aleea Reese with 14 points and 9 rebounds and 2 steals. Rs-Fr G (#11) Jessica Lauderdale scored 13 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. So F (#21) Kristen Gooding and So F (#5) Erica Foster combined for 12 points and 12 rebounds. While sophomores guards (#12) Jasmine Bernardo and PG (#0) Corina Tacardon combined for 15 points and 12 rebounds. The Panthers outscored the Delta Mustangs 21-8 in the fourth quarter to close out the game.  This is the now the second time this season the Panthers were able to defeat the San Joaquin Delta College Mustangs (15-5 / Big 8 (2-2). 

NorCal No. 7 Sac City (15-4/ Big 8 (3-1) returns to action next against NorCal No. 4 Diablo Valley College (14-5 / Big 8 (3-1) Tuesday January 19th at 5:30 PM. Sacramento City seeks to extend their win streak to 4 games!
