Maddy Bates led the Panthers with 20 points, but it wasn't enough as Chabot's offense erased a 3 point halftime deficit and then some with their 44 points in the 2nd half as the Gladiators went on to win the De Anza Tournament Championship.
Isabelle Beaven and Sam Stinson both had 9 points for City in their final preseason game.
The Panthers open up play in the Big 8 Conference with a trip to Rocklin on Tuesday, January 3rd to take on the North's top team in the Sierra Wolverines. Tip-off time is 7:30pm.
