The Vikings come from behind to beat the Panthers 60-58

Sac City jumped out to a 22-13 1st quarter lead over the Vikings on Tuesday night.  City was knocking down the long ball as Isabelle Beaven drained two, and Kayley Cravens and Sam Stinson each knock one down from behind the arc.

At the half, SCC increased the lead to 12 and led DVC 36-24.  Jessica Lauderdale matcher her 1st quarter point total, by scoring another 6 points in the 2nd and Isabelle Beaven knocked down two more long balls.

However, the tide started to change in the 3rd quarter as the Vikings turned up the defense and began to start clicking on offense.  The Vikings would still find themselves down by 10 as Kayley Cravens hit a three-pointer with 4 seconds left in the quarter.  DVC finally was back in front of SCC with 1:30 to go, leading 57-56.  The teams would find themselves tied again at 58 after some free throws, but in the end the Vikings would convert the game winning bucket with 20 seconds to go to win 60-58.

Isabelle Beaven ends up with 14 points and Sam Stinson had 9 in the game.  Sac City travels to Santa Rosa on Friday for a 5:30pm Big 8 Conference game.
