The Panthers beat the Rams 76-29 in Round 1 of the CCCAA Nor-Cal Playoffs

Sac City protected their home court in dominant fashion defeating Gavilan 76-29 Wedensday night in Round 1 of the CCCAA NorCal Playoffs. The Panthers jumped out to a 31-9 halftime lead and never looked back. City was led by sophomore guard Jessica Lauderdale 23 points with 8 rebounds and 5 steals.  Sophomore guard Kayley Cravens had 18 points and 6 rebounds while freshman sharpshooter Maddy Bates added 14 points and 4 rebounds. Isabelle Beaven finished with 8 points and 5 rebounds as well. The Panthers shot ball at a high level finishing at 53% from the field, 38.5 % on threes, and 87.5 % from the free throw line. The Panthers defense forced 22 turnovers while holding Gavilan to an incredible 7-60 (11.7%) from the field and 1-23 (4%) on 3 point field goals.

Coach Julz and the #15 seed Panthers (14-15) hit the road for Round 2 of the CCCAA Nor-Cal Playoffs for a matchup against #2 seed College of Sequoias (25-3). The game is this Saturday, Feb. 25th at 7 PM. Let's Go Panthers!
