Sacramento City Edges Sierra 3-2 in a Tight Conference Battle
Sacramento City College held off a late push from Sierra College to secure a narrow 3-2 victory in the second game of their doubleheader, improving to 16-8 (5-5 Big 8 Conference). Timely hitting and solid relief pitching made the difference as the Panthers completed the sweep.

Early Runs Give Sac City the Edge
The Panthers struck first in the third inning. Elyse McCartney reached and scored when Chloe Kimbrell reached on an error at first base. Ava Seguin followed with an RBI double, driving in Kimbrell to give Sacramento City a 2-0 lead.

Sierra Battles Back in the Fifth
Sierra responded in the top of the fifth. Hannah Jernigan scored on a steal attempt by Iris Perez, who later came home on Mallory Hamilton's RBI single to tie the game at 2-2.

Garber Delivers the Game-Winner
Sac City quickly regained the lead in the sixth when Jenna Potter singled, advanced, and scored on a clutch RBI single by Kayla Garber. That would prove to be the difference as the Panthers closed it out in the seventh.

Strong Pitching Seals the Win
Iliana Cano earned the win (2-1) after 4.1 innings of work, allowing two runs while striking out five. Ava Seguin came on in relief and was lights out, tossing 2.2 scoreless innings to notch her first save of the season.
