West Valley dominated Sacramento City 8-1 on February 7, 2025, in a matchup that saw the home team break open a close game with a five-run sixth inning. The win extended West Valley's undefeated start to the 2025 season as they improved to 5-0, while Sacramento City fell to 4-1.

Sacramento City Takes Early Lead, But West Valley Responds

Sacramento City struck first in the opening frame. Kayla Garber doubled to bring home Chloe Kimbrell, giving the visitors a 1-0 advantage. However, West Valley answered quickly in the third inning when Andrea DeJesus hit a solo home run to tie the game at 1-1.

West Valley Pulls Ahead with Key Hits

In the fourth inning, West Valley took the lead. Adriana Diotalevi scored on a passed ball to give West Valley a 2-1 edge, followed by another run when Jasmine Mixco crossed the plate, making it 3-1.

Big Sixth Inning Seals the Victory for West Valley

The game was put out of reach in the sixth inning when West Valley erupted for five runs. Jasmine Mixco's single set up a run-scoring error by Sacramento City's second baseman, allowing Marissa Rodriguez to score. Alina Perez then delivered a two-RBI single, bringing in both Raylene Cruz and Mixco. A sacrifice fly by Alexis Bojorquez-Nava and a two-RBI double from Ella Moser added to the damage, pushing the score to 8-1.
